For fun, I made some stickers to put on notecards so we could send out some fun notes to our friends while we all are social distancing - I had a few people ask for a copy so I figured I'd post a link here if anyone else wants them. 

 I drew them to fit on 2x4 mailing labels and I *think* the format of the PDF would print them on the sticker sheets if you went that route - it works for me over here in my quarintine land, but I'm as tech savvy as a turtle, so I have no idea how to do these things in real life or for other people - just me..... so, print them, color them, glue them to some paper and mail them out.  

Hopefully they bring a smile to your face.

Are you like me? Do you have just days before you plan on starting school yet you are still frantically trying to organize your school year - print out worksheets, organize curriculum , make binders and schedules and figure out what the heck you are going to do?!?! You know, it wouldn't be so bad, but this is my 11th year of homeschooling - you would think I would have it figured out by now, but NOPE!!!! But a few years ago, I did come up with these little record sheets to help trick myself into thinking I'll be organized. I fill one of these out each year for each kid and keep it in a binder where I have all my other important homeschool stuff (my notification forms, HSLDA card, certificates of training's I've been to, and anything else that would make me seem responsible and make me look equipped to homeschool my four children. Make Room for Zoom

If your family is anything like mine, you are zooming it up - classes, activities and friend time have all moved over to zoom.  So instead of driving my kids all around town, I am not running around grabbing tablets or computers and trying to remember who is having a zoom, google hangout, tele-therapy appointment or whatever.  So, to help myself stay organized, I made a little schedule  (with two picture options) and thought I would share it with all of you along with some other ideas as well. moon schedule flower schedule Since we are talking zoom - there are some precautions you should take anytime your child is online - I appreciated  this  article zoom posted with some general tips you should know about using the service. Quarantine Schooling

And just like that, the entire nation is homeschooling.... Well, not really. More like quarantine schooling, or crisis schooling, or chaos schooling.... Even veteran homeschoolers like myself are struggling. You see, when you homeschool, it is a choice.  Its not something forced upon you in the midst of a global pandemic. You take time researching curriculum, joining co-ops, signing up for classes and activities. You are prepared  (sort of....) But I don't think anyone was prepared for this. All that to say, if you suddenly find yourself quarantine schooling, you are not alone. While no doubt your head is spinning and you are sorting through numerous emails, suggestions anxieties and fear, I want to remind you that you can do this! Even after 10 years of homeschooling, my head is spinning.  My kids outside classes and activities have been modified or cancelled, competitions shut down, trips not taken.... it's been rough!.
